  • Laureen Rahn
    Jun 23 2024

On April 26th, 1980, 14-year-old Laureen Ann Rahn of Manchester, NH, was an 8th grader on spring break. On that day, which was a Saturday, her mother Judith was leaving her home alone and would return later that night.

  • Jeffrey Lundgren
    Jun 16 2024

Jeffrey Lundgren was living in Missouri in the early 1980s. He had a wife and four children and was heavily involved in the RLDS church. However, he became disillusioned with the church because he didn't agree with what he saw as some of its progressive views.

Join Mike and Morf as they discuss Jeffrey Lundgren. After a stint in the Navy, Jeffrey had a hard time holding down a job. However, he was able to attract followers who agreed with his preachings and were willing to help support him and his family. In 1984, Jeffrey told his followers that God had commanded them to move to Ohio. Jeffrey Lundgren held a lot of sway and power over his followers, and he ultimately used them for deadly purposes.

wow... just wow

closest a listener can get to being inside the killers mind without actually crawling in there.

LOVE the detail.

not sure if you guys read the comments but one suggestion Morf... you sound like you are reading an 8th grade report sometimes. maybe add a little more personality to your facts... when your interviewing your organic and its fluid and you can tell you're engaged. when going over past crimes or the background you're very monotone and like you don't want to be there.

but really you guys. you do a fabulous job.

In Depth Reporting of True Crime

I love the great writing and reporting of this show. Mike F has a great voice for radio (or podcasts) and I really enjoy listening to him. the Mikes have done great research and getting to hear it much more in-depth than can be done on TCATT is great.

Wanted to like it!

After listening to both TCATT and TCATT Unsolved we were very excited to take the deep dive into Criminology, but after ten or so episodes find it really suffers from the lack of repartee between the two hosts. It's like they're reading from scripts from different rooms. I find I'm constantly rewinding because it just does not hold my attention as the other two podcasts do. I plan to push forward as there are 160 + episodes to go and hope somewhere along the line they have managed to improve on what is now a very mediocre presentation. Gibby, you are truly missed!

I just couldn't take it......,

I've tried to listen to this podcast at different times, hoping it got, somehow, better. But episode one is the same as the most recent. Their reading voice is terrible. There's no natural flow to it. It's like every period he comes to is a welcome surprise.
This is NOT my kind of podcast.
