We live in a lonely world. Our world struggles so much with the issue of loneliness, it has become a public health crisis. How are we able to combat such an epidemic and is there really any hope to do so? The Proverbs certainly thinks so.

Everyone in the world today seems to be asking the same question: "What was I made for?" As people in culture continue to pursue a life of individualism it can be harder and harder to answer this question in terms of all of humanity. What were we made for?

Have you ever heard someone exclaim, "Wow." because of something you said? Why was that? Was it because your words were full of foolishness or because they were full of wisdom? The Proverbs helps us to make sure that we are using the power of our words for good.

In life we desire many different things differently. If we were asked the question: "Do you desire God most?" Would we be able to honestly answer, "Yes"? If not, why?

How do we become wise? How do we get better at life? Surprisingly, it requires fear. But, not quite the fear that we're used to thinking about.

The book of Proverbs is filled with many wise sayings across a wide range of topics and a common thread that is found across them all is their promotion of Freedom.

As we wrap up John's first letter, he gives us an inside look into where the fullness of life is truly found.
