  • It Takes Effort to Bring People Together with Mark Nessbaum
    Jun 18 2024
Mark Nussbaum was one of the founders of Signature Consultants, served as its COO for 20 years and most recently served as the Chief Administrative Officer of Dexian. Currently, Mark serves as a Strategic Advisor. One part visionary, one part anthropologist, one part lawyer, Mark manages to stay a step ahead — in business, strategy, IT staffing, you name it — while remaining utterly present when you talk to him. In all of his roles, Mark heralds the importance of getting to know and understand people. He leads by example. Growth mindset isn’t a buzzword for him. It’s a way of life. And he makes sure the people throughout the organization have the feedback and tools they need to learn, grow and thrive. Mark joined Signature in 2000, following undergrad and law degrees from the University of Michigan, being senior partner at the leading law firm of Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn, and serving as EVP at premiere medical real estate development firm Rendina Companies. He’s a passionate Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen fan (and a music lover, in general) who isn’t afraid to call on a favorite lyric to drive home his point. Mark calls both Boston and Fort Lauderdale home, but makes his way across the U.S. for speaking engagements about the future of work and the nature of companies. • The State of Healthcare in Underserved Communities with Jay Trivedi
    Jun 4 2024
Jay Trivedi, CEO of Uphams Community Care, was a latch key kid raised in Medford, MA by parents that emigrated from India in 1973 with only $8 to their name. His Mom and Dad were highly educated, but their degrees from India didn't quite translate when they came to the US. Nevertheless, his dad was able to build a career in Psychiatry, while his Mom pursued her path in Anesthesiology. From the get go, Jay had an interest in medicine. He wanted to be a Neurologist, but since his grades didn't quite cut it, he worked as an EMT, a professor and researcher, all while taking classes at night to get his MBA. He joined UCC in 2004 as the Director of Operations and today he is the second CEO in the company's 53 year history. Hear Jay's perspectives on how funding, talent shortages and the cost of real estate is impacting the quality of healthcare in our underserved communities. This episode drops tomorrow morning on...
