I wouldn't describe myself as a religious person. However there is no denying that I have a past that is deeply rooted in Christian music culture. Its the reason I got into music in the first place. I owe a lot to the genre, so in this video I wanted to dig into why I love Christian bands so much even to this day. I hope you enjoy!

In 1998 the band Embodyment released an album called Embrace the Eternal that expertly combined Death Metal and early Metalcore, and then they suddenly changed their entire sound seemingly overnight. Linkin Park's debut album changed everything for Nu Metal and Hard Rock in the early 2000's. By introducing harder elements in a more digestible and family friendly package, Linkin Park was able to establish a much larger install base of fans than their contemporaries at the time. In this video I share my memories of hearing Linkin Park for the first time, go over every song on Hybrid Theory, and discuss the impact that Linkin Park had on teenagers in the year 2000 and beyond.
