Jesus and Peter

John 21:15-19

Divine love, as commanded by Jesus, compels us to feed his sheep. However, sick sheep lack the desire to eat, while sinful sheep are indifferent to seeking the Shepherd. Lazy sheep are unable to rise from their slumber. Let us today seek the Shepherd of our soul. Seek nourishment so that we may glorify Jesus Christ.

Jesus Appears to Seven Disciples

John 21:1-14

I think the Lord was trying to show them, even though he died and was buried and raised from the dead and went away from them. He was not done working miracles in their lives. He still loved them and communicated with them. The miracles of the fishes were symbolic. Yes, they caught real fish, but these fish pointed to a greater fishing exposition . They were to be fishes of men.

The Purpose of the gospel of John

John 20:30-31

John gives the purpose for writing his book to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to point people to Jesus. When you lose your purpose, you lose your power, you lose your vision, and you lose your zeal. If your energy is focused on this dying world.

Trying to correct politicians trying to correct false preachers you have lost your purpose

Jesus and Thomas

John 20:24-29

Thomas did a complete 360. He went from saying, “ I will not believe” to “Thou hast believed.” What made the difference was God. Many people believe the words of others, and their faith is weak and it will not stand when trials come. But when God appears to you personally, your faith is strong. I don’t blame Thomas here for wanting reassurance.

Jesus Appears to the Disciples

John 20:19-23

The disciples were expecting a visit from the same people who crucified Jesus. They probably thought they were next, but oh, what a surprise! Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came among them. Oh, what great comfort this must have been to their fearful and sorrowful hearts. Are you today like the disciples, with a fearful and sorrowful heart? seek the presence of God.

Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene

John 20:11-18

What a change took place in Mary Magdalene‘s life. She went from being full of the devil to being full of Jesus. She never stopped seeking her savior. When others went home. She went to the tomb. When others were sleeping, she was seeking. When others were eating, she was weeping. Until she found the Lord.

And she did find her savior when she heard his voice when he called her name.

The Resurrection

John 20:1-10

We have here the fulfillment of the gospel of Jesus Christ: the death, the burial, and the resurrection. And through that gospel is the only way to get to heaven; all other ways lead to damnnation

Jesus Is Buried

John 19:38-42

The words, “This is my body, which is broken for you,” ring in my soul. What a blessing that these men were; they respected the Lord‘s body. It must’ve been difficult. To look at the Lord’s bloody and broken body. But Out of all the bad characters, you can always find someone that will respect the Lord Jesus Christ, whether it’s his words, his doctrines, or his bloody and broken body.
