• The Book Of Joshua - Rahab’s House (Daily Devotional)
    Jun 30 2025
Greetings once again and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to minister to you and spend a few moments in prayer. This week, we are talking from the book of Joshua. Today, we will look at Rahab’s house. Joshua chapter 2, verses 1 and 2, ‘Then Joshua, son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim. “Go, look over the land,” he said, “especially Jericho.” So, they went and entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there. The king of Jericho was told, “Look, some of the Israelites have come here tonight to spy out the land.” ‘Rahab’s house was a kind of place the bible warns young men to stay away from. Proverbs chapter 7, verse 27 puts it this way, ‘Her house is a highway to the grave, leading down to the chambers of death.’ The Israelite spies entered the house of a wayward woman. We aren’t told why but we do learn later that she became a believer in God. The gods of Canaanite Jericho had been getting credit for the rains on the land that fed Rahab and her fellow citizens. But the Canaanites mistook the source of the field’s fertility because they lived in a land and they didn’t honor and believe in the true, living God. As Rahab the prostitute had wasted her body, so the people of Canaan, failed to honor the true God, but still there was hope. It is good to know that Rahab gave up the false beliefs and empty idols of Canaan and surrendered completely to God. To the kings’ messengers, Rahab said in effect, I don’t know where those guys came from or where they went. Then Rahab went to the spies’ hiding place and confessed what she did know. It is over for Cana, our gods are incapable of dealing with the Lord, your God who rules the heavens and the earth. I know we are as defeated as the kings your God defeated in the desert and on the other side of Jordan. Rahab’s words underscore her actions. Not only does she confess that Canaan’s future lies in God’s hands but also by making this confession, she becomes a traitor to her own people. After the spies’ escape, they return to Israel’s camp and inform Joshua about Rahab’ commitment. Through an outsider, the Lord helped Israel see that God will surely give them the promised land. This example was important to help the people of Israel and the people of the other nations. It was a sign that God wants people from all nations in His family. We learn later that Rahab became one of Jesus’ ancestors. She was an outsider who came into God’s family by grace and faith. May we seek to always glorify that one true God. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for the lessons that we learn from your word. Even through an outsider, from a Gentile, you taught the people of Israel that you will give them the land of Canaan. We pray that we will learn to honor and glorify you in every area of our life. We commit ourselves to you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. • The Book Of Joshua - Rest From The Enemy (Daily Devotional)
    Jun 29 2025
Hi everyone and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much once again for giving us this opportunity to minister to you and spend a few moments in prayer. Joshua chapter 1, verses 13 to 15, ‘remember the command that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you after he said, "The Lord your God will give you rest by giving you this land. Your wives, your children your livestocks may stay in the land that Moses gave you east of the Jordan, but all your fighting men, ready for battle, must cross over ahead of your fellow Israelites. You are to help them until the Lord gives them rest, as he has done for you, and until they too have taken possession of the land the Lord your God is giving them. After that, you may go back and occupy your own land, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you east of Jordan towards the sunrise.’ Israel had fought many battles and also won many battles but it was the Lord God who gave them rest from their enemies. After years in the battlefield, Israel could serve God without interruption from the enemy. The freedom to serve God that Moses had demanded of Pharaoh before they left Egypt was finally achieved on the land God had promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Still the conquest remained incomplete. Non-Israelites remained in the land and they worshiped other gods but their kings had no power to enslave Israel. Israel was now free to serve the Lord who had rescued them and this was good news for all. It often troubles people that God waged violent warfare in Canaan in the time of Joshua but the land and its people already belonged to God and they had been in rebellion against Him for more than 400 years. In the meantime, God has been patient and long-suffering providing for them, but they never turned back to Him. So, this part of Israel's history illustrates they were tried and tested by God to teach them humility and obedience. The generation that came out of Egypt, except for Caleb and Joshua, all of them perished in the wilderness because they failed to be obedient and faithful to God. Their children inherited the promised land but while they were in the desert, they were not perfect because many of them were still unruly. However, Moses assured them that when they entered the promised land, the Lord will give them rest from their enemies so that they can dwell in peace and in safety. There, they would build homes, offer sacrifices to God and rejoice in the Lord. God wants full life and peace for His people but the powers of evil, tear away at that and bring death. The freedom Christ has won for His disciples is also good news. No longer enslaved to the power of sin, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to resist our passions and addictions. We may be buffeted on all sides by our enemies like pride, lust, greed but you and I having been clothed with the righteousness of Christ and the armor of God, we can resist and deflect the darts of the evil one. No enemy can withstand the righteousness of God through Christ our Lord. Let's pray, Father, we want to thank you for your word. We thank you that you have promised rest for us and even as we walk this life, empower us through your Holy Spirit to be able to fight the good fight of faith and to live for you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. • The Book Of Joshua - God’s Word Will Not Pass Away (Daily Devotional)
    Jun 29 2025
Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us yet another opportunity to come your way, minister God's word and take a few moments in prayer as well. This week, we'll be looking at the book of Joshua and glean lessons from the way God dealt with the people of Israel, even as they wandered through that desert and entered into the promised land. Joshua chapter 1, verses 6 to 8, ‘Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; Do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this book of the law always on your lips; Meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.’ Now Moses led the people of Israel out of Egypt and wandered in the desert for forty long and sometimes difficult years. The people had known no other leader. Now they would be going into their new land without Moses to guide them. What will the new leadership do? As God appoints Joshua, He does not say to him, "It's time for fresh ideas, it's time to do things differently or be creative.” Rather, God says the words of Moses are still relevant. They were right for Israel when they were wandering in the desert and the words will be right for them even as they step into the promised land. It was not that Moses had good ideas, but Moses had spoken the words God had given him to lead and teach Israel. To listen to Moses in the desert was like listening to God Himself. So, God said to Joshua, "Be careful to obey the law my servant Moses gave you. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Now the emphasis given in this command suggests that Joshua needed this strong encouragement. He had a huge task ahead of him. He would need God's strength and courage to conquer Canaan and divide the land as an inheritance for the people of Israel. When Israel and their leadership did according to all the law, they were invincible with God's blessing and strength. Since obedience to God's law was required for Israel's success, it was important to know, understand and value God's word. Joshua not only read God's word, it had to be on his lips, in his mind and inside of him at all times. The final encouragement repeated in Joshua chapter 15 reminds us that Joshua's success did not depend solely on his ability to keep God's word. The presence of God with him was an even greater factor. Today, the Lord promises to be with us always. Jesus, the son of God came and fulfilled the law of Moses and now we know that God through the Holy Spirit comes and lives in our hearts. The Spirit of God helps us understand the words of Moses and the entire scriptures. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for your word. We thank you for your promises that are so powerful in your word to be strong, to be courageous and not to be afraid. We pray that in every season, in every area of our life, we will apply these words and walk in power and strength, empowered by your Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. • Promises For God's Guidance - Things Will Get Clearer (Daily Devotional)
    Jun 27 2025
Greetings and thank you so much for journeying with us throughout this week, where we take time to reflect on some of God’s promises for guidance. We want to wrap up today by looking at Proverbs chapter 4, verse 18, the scripture says, ‘But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.’ This verse is telling us that our path, the path of the righteous, the path of the people who are seeking God, who fear God, who are choosing to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord, that path is like the sun that rises up and gets to its zenith/ peak in the afternoon. So, we can imagine this in the early hours of the morning, when the sun is just about to rise, things are not absolutely clear. We can see a little bit but not everything is clear but as the sun begins to rise, slowly and surely, things get clearer and clearer and right at noon day, everything is clear and there are no shadows. So, the scripture is saying, the path of the just is like that, it gets clearer and clearer as we keep journeying with God. So, this is God’s way of working in our life. As we seek His guidance, pray and ask Him to direct our steps and trust in Him, listen to His word and the leading of the Holy Spirit and get godly counsel in our lives, as we begin to take steps, these are of course steps of faith. We don’t have all the answers, we are taking one step at a time knowing that God is leading us and directing our paths and the promise is that our path will become clearer and clearer, as we keep journeying with God. So, indeed receiving God’s guidance and following His guidance is a journey of faith and this is the assurance He gives us that as we keep walking in faith, our path will get brighter and brighter and clearer and clearer and we will be able to see God unfold His plans and purposes and walk so confidently with Him throughout life’s journey. So, we take this assurance- things are going to get clearer and brighter as we keep journeying with God. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for your assurance of guidance in our life. Even as each one of us learn to listen to you and take small steps to follow you, we thank you for the assurance that things will get clearer and clearer and brighter and brighter, as you continue to lead us each step of the way, in Jesus’ name, Amen. • Promises For God's Guidance - Spirit Led (Daily Devotional)
    Jun 26 2025
Greetings and thank you so much for joining us today on our daily devotional. We are so grateful that we can come to you and take these few moments in God’s word and prayer. This week, we are just looking at few scriptures that promise us of God’s guidance in our lives. In all the decisions that we make, we pray and ask God to direct our paths, speak to us through His word and not only does God guide us through His word but He also guides us by His Spirit. In Romans chapter 8, verses 14 and 16, the scriptures tell us, ‘For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.’ Verse 16 says, ‘The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.’ God is telling us that the children of God/ sons of God have this wonderful privilege of being led by the Spirit of God, that means the Holy Spirit comes to us as our guide, our teacher, the instructor of the paths in which we should go. We are led by the Spirit of God, He is there to lead us, guide us and tell us which way to go. How does He do that? The bible says that the Spirit bears witness with our spirit. To bear witness means to speak, testify, and tell us. So, the Holy Spirit tells/ speaks to us in our spirit on these matters that we are God’s children, the way the Father wants us to go, the choices the Father wants us to make, whatever the Lord Jesus is speaking to us, the Holy Spirit is bringing that to our spirit. So, what we must learn to do as children of God is learn to listen to the Holy Spirit as He bears witness with our spirit. As a simple guideline, if there is a sense of peace, calmness in your spirit, that is an indication that you can go ahead with the decision that you’re intending to make/ considering. But if there is some sort of a yellow/ red light, some sort of a disturbance in your spirit, if there is a lack of peace concerning what you’re contemplating, it is an indication that be careful, don’t do it, hold on, pause, step back, it is like a warning or maybe even a stop sign from the Holy Spirit. That’s putting it in a very simple way, but that is how we begin to learn/ discern the witness of the Spirit in our spirit. Let the peace of God be the umpire in our hearts. If there is peace, that is a green signal, and the absence of peace a red signal. So, the Holy Spirit bears witness. Of course, we need to make sure we are listening correctly but we can learn how to listen to the Spirit of God. We are led by the Holy Spirit. God leads us by His word and by His Spirit. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for the precious Holy Spirit who dwells in us, leads us and teaches us in the way that we should go. We choose to listen to His witness in our spirit and we choose to follow His leading in our life, in Jesus’ name, Amen. • Promises For God's Guidance - Direct My Steps (Daily Devotional)
    Jun 25 2025
Greetings and thank you for joining us today on our daily devotional. It is always a joy to come to you, share the word of God and spend a few moments in prayer. This week, we are reflecting on a few promises for God’s guidance in our lives, how God would lead us, guide us and teach us and how we could reach out to God through His word, to receive His guidance into our lives. Today, we are going to look at two passages of scripture. Psalm chapter 119, verse 133, the psalmist prayed, ‘Direct my steps by Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me.’ We are also going to look at Proverbs chapter 3, verses 5 and 6, it says, ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.’ The psalmist prays this prayer and asks the Lord to direct his steps by His word. Many times, when we need guidance, we put the bible in front of us, we pray a simple prayer, ‘Lord, direct my steps through your word, I’m going to read your word and I am asking you to direct my steps by your word.’ As we read the word, we follow the instruction given to us in Proverbs where we trust in the Lord with all our heart and we lean not to our own understanding. Of course, we have to use our own understanding, God is not saying not to use it, but we don’t entirely rely/ depend on it because we submit our understanding to the light of His word. So, He says, don’t lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him. So, as we are facing some important decisions that we have to make, we want guidance on how to handle situations, solve some problems, fix some situations, what do we do? It says, in all your ways, acknowledge Him. So, you go before God and say, Lord, I need your guidance. I’m faced with this situation, I need to know how to solve this problem, I need to know how to fix this, O God, I acknowledge you and I need you, this is what I’m thinking but I’m not going to lean on my own understanding but I’m going to acknowledge you. His promise is, He will direct your path and of course, how would He do it? The psalmist prayed, Lord, direct my path through your word. So, as we acknowledge His word, open it and listen to His word, He will direct our paths. He will tell us, teach us, show us and light our paths so we will know the right things to do, right way to go, right choice to make. He will guide us. So, let us take these scriptures, pray them through in our own lives and receive God’s guidance in the decisions we have to make. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you that we can look to you to direct our paths, that you do direct our paths by your word and your word is truth and far greater than our understanding and we choose to acknowledge you, honor you and honor your word in all our ways. Lead us and direct us, in Jesus’ name, Amen. Thank you for tuning in to Living Supernaturally, for more resources to strengthen your spiritual walk, please visit apcwo.org. • Promises For God's Guidance - Your Word Is A Lamp (Daily Devotional)
    Jun 24 2025
Greetings and it’s our joy to be able to come to you today and spend these few moments in God’s word and prayer. This week, we are reflecting on God’s promises for guidance, where God has promised us to teach us, instruct us, lead us and guide us in the decisions that we need to make in life. Today, we are going to read Psalm chapter 119, verses 103 to 105 and also verse 130, these verses say, ‘How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore, I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple’. The psalmist here recognizes that God is going to guide us and He is going to teach us and give us understanding, light our path and direct our path through His word. So, we recognize that God has promised to guide us and teach us but that guidance comes to us through His word. So, as we seek God for His guidance, one of the things that we have to do is to read His word- the bible and it is so amazing that whatever passage or whatever chapter in the bible we maybe reading that particular day, the Holy Spirit has just an amazing way to be able to take that chapter or that passage that we’re reading and speak to us directly into the situations and circumstances that we may be facing at that moment in out life. So, God can do that, all we have to do is to be faithful, to go to His word and say, Lord, it is your word which I love and your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path and as I read my bible, I’m expecting you to speak to me, give me understanding like the psalmist says, I’m expecting you to shine your light upon my path so that I will learn the way I should take and God will do that for us. We receive His guidance through His word and He has promised to do that for us. Let us be faithful in reading the scriptures and letting God guide us through His word. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you that your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Thank you that as your word enters us, it gives us light and teaches us in the way in which we should go, it shows us the right path for us to take. Thank you for guiding us through your word, in Jesus’ name, Amen. Thank you for tuning in to Living Supernaturally, for more resources to strengthen your spiritual walk, please visit apcwo.org. • Promises For God's Guidance - Steps Are Ordered By God (Daily Devotional)
    Jun 23 2025
Greetings and thank you for joining us today for our daily devotional. This week, we are talking about God’s promises of guidance in our lives. We are just looking at different promises where God has assured us where He will lead and guide in life’s journey. Today, we look at Psalm chapter 37, verses 23 and 24, it reads, ‘The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand.’ Just imagine this, the scriptures are telling is that our steps, as we choose to follow God, walk in accordance to His word, be obedient to Him that God is ordering our steps. That verse continues to say that God delights in our way, He takes special interest in the way that we are going. God is not saying, ok you go figure this out, solve your own problems, find your own solutions, God is not like that. He delights in our way, He is interested in the journey we are making, in the decisions we have to make and in the paths we have to choose. He is very interested in it so much so that the bible says that He is ordering our steps. The qualifier is of course, it is the steps of a good man that means we are choosing to be people who will walk in obedience to Him and as we posture ourselves that way, God is ordering our steps, He is directing our steps, in His own way, He is orchestrating things in our lives. The next verse says, even if we fall and make a mistake, sometimes we do, instead of listening to God, we may run after our own choices or do something we are not supposed to be doing, even if we fall, it is not the end of the world, we are not literally cast down, why? Because God upholds us. He is telling us that if you fall, it is not the end of the world, God will put you back on your feet, get you back on track and He will continue ordering your steps. What an assurance, joy and privilege that as we say, God I want to follow you, be obedient to you and do your will and thank you that you uphold me, put my life back together, order my steps and you will get me going on the path that you have for my life. What a wonderful promise! Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for this promise and privilege where our steps are ordered by the Lord and that you are interested and take delight in our way. Even if we make mistakes, we are grateful to you that it is not the end of the world but you uphold us, you help us with your powerful right hand, you get us back on track and set our feet in the right path and get us back in the journey that you want us to make. We thank you for your mercies, in Jesus’ name, Amen. Thank you for tuning in to Living Supernaturally, for more resources to strengthen your spiritual walk, please visit apcwo.org.
