Not like the other zombie stories!

This podcast is addicting! One of the best audible podcast series for the zombie apocalyptic genre that I have listened to. The author tells the story of the downfall of society while showing that people can still have humanity.

Decent storyline

The storyline is pretty dang good. However the writing does get lazy every now and again.
The male narrator that does the later half of the series is not great. He made Terrell, an African American Delta Force member sound like Dracula with a toothache, Clara sound like a screechy harridan, and a Mexican cartel member sound like an Aussie. And Rodriguez, a Mexican cartel member sounds like a member of Dracula’s band. As well as several US military members that have foreign accents, mainly a Scottish one and I can’t remember the other off the top of my head. I just really do not understand his choices and it’s really distracting and pulls a person out of the story. I would have given the series four stars if not for the male narrator. I am sure that there are narration choices that he would be perfect for, but it wasn’t this.
