  • The Rule Book (ft. How You Get the Girl)
    Jul 28 2024

Sarah Adams never lets me down.🩵 This book had all of my favorite things: second chance romance, enemies to lovers, fake dating, dual pov, spice, smut it's all there. It’s only lacking for me in very small elements of the book that as a reader, just dont work for me and I’ll get more into that with the spoilers. When I'm reading a book, I go into my own little world and I sometimes find it so difficult to separate book from real life. If you love Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, and are so smitten by their whirlwind romance, READ THIS BOOK. You won’t be disappointed. 🏈💍

The crossover for today’s episode takes us back to the 1989 era. I have always seen this song as a step-by-step explanation from a girls point of view of how to win her back when you’ve made a mistake. This is how a guy is supposed to be. It’s interesting to think about the sarcastic undertones in the words, but in this episode, we get into a lyrical deep dive and why “How You Get the Girl” reminds me of Nora and Derek.

  • First Down (ft. I Can See You)

The book that got me out of a reading slump💚 This is a debut novel for Grace Reilly and there will be a total of four books in her “Beyond the Play” series; all of which follow different sports and siblings of the Callahan family (all of which will be getting their own episodes as they come out). First Down is a college, fake dating romance that tells the story of James and Bex. They came together naturally as “friends” then quickly as a fake couple in a mutual arrangement to get Bex’s ex off her back and for superstar QB, James, to get the help he needs to pass his writing class. It’s a book that reels you in from the very beginning and keeps you hooked until the end.

If you can’t handle the spice, then stay away from this episode because Grace Reilly is a SPICE. AUTHOR. Definitely a PG-13 rated book but I’ll tone it down for the younger audience on this podcast. If you know anything about me, I love smut. I’ll read it all damn day long. This book reminded me too much of one of my favorite vault tracks from Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). We all remember hearing that one, sultry lyric for the first time with our jaws dropped; at this point in her career, we had no idea Taylor had a spicy side and eleven years later, she is spilling the tea. This episode is a full book review (with and without spoilers, you know the drill) plus a lyrical AND music video break down of “I Can See You” from the vault. 👀

  • My Life with the Walter Boys (ft. Fifteen)
    Apr 1 2024

Now entering the Walter boy era… Giddy up🤠 This book is a perfect read for a younger audience, especially those who loved reading the Summer I Turned Pretty! Ali Novak was only 15 herself when originally published it on Wattpad. Jackie Howard loses her family in a tragic accident and has to uproot her perfect little New York life to move to Silver Falls, Colorado and live with (you guessed it) the Walter boys. On one hand, Walter Boys is a quick, fun read that is just fluffy. It’s a sweet story and I enjoyed it the same way I enjoy oreos – it's junkfood, but you can’t just read one page. For some reason you keep coming back for more. And somehow, despite its many flaws, I still loved reading it when I was in high school, and I think many teens will like it, too.

My Life with the Walters boys premiered as a Netflix series in December of 2023, and has been officially renewed for a second season! This episode talks about the book, the show, the differences between both and highlights a very nostalgic song from the Fearless era because let’s face it: we all know what it felt like to be “Fifteen” 💛

  • The Eras Tour film (ft. You're on Your Own Kid)
    Mar 25 2024

We’re about to go on a little adventure together & that adventure is going to span three and half hours of epic concert history all thrown into one episode, and it’s gonna be called “The Eras Tour Film” - see you there.😚 The Eras Tour Movie is love a letter to fans across the entire world. It captures her evolution as an artist, allows fans to relive the nostalgia of their favorite eras, and the production is nothing short of brilliant. It really shows how far Taylor has come in her career; from starting out as a sixteen year old on stage for 100 people, to sold out football stadiums, you've got to have respect for the woman, even if her music isn't your cup of tea.

The true magic of this movie lies in the relationship that Taylor Swift has created with her fans. One of the most heartwarming aspects of the Eras Tour itself is the swiftie-made tradition of trading “friendship bracelets”. Inspired by the song featured in the episode: “So make the friendship bracelets, Take the moment and taste it..." from Midnight’s track 5 song "You're On Your Own, Kid." It’s more than just a trend or an inside joke, it’s a true testament to what it feels like to be a fan (and most importantly, the love story behind Taylor & Travis).♥️ So I chose this song and this episode to share my own story of how I became a full-time swiftie and to try to answer the question that all the haters seem to be asking: what’s the hype? Everyone has a story & I would love to hear yours!! Share your experience with me in this episode as we go through the eras together & eras together & celebrate the Eras Tour Movie.🎥🎬

  • The Eras era (part 2)
    Mar 16 2024

    Send us a Text Message.

Leave it to @taylorswift to make an era out of all of her other eras, as if they weren’t already iconic enough. 🦋🌞☔️🎩🗽🚓🌈🌲🥂🦸🏼‍♀️ We want to give a shoutout to our favorite Anti-Hero for her 9 VMA awards this year (including Video of the Year) by putting out our first ever 2 part episode!! 🤯 I mean it was pretty obvious considering we are covering all 10 albums in her discography, a three-hour concert production, the Eras Tour MOVIE, our top 5 albums & top 3 songs of all time.🎥🎶 And the worst part is: it could’ve been longer. 😆

While we have dedicated an episode to every album individually, the concept of the “Eras era” has broken records on its own. Our conversation for this episode is structured like the Eras Tour itself, and we are diving into every detail of the production, the set list, the outfits, you name it. The first part (part 1) is concert heavy featuring the Lover through Folklore sets while part 2 wraps up 1989 & Midnights then jumps into our final thoughts, our top 5 eras and our top 3 songs of all time. From listening to any of the eras episodes so far, you know that we pick a top 5 from each album and share our lists blindly with each other. It’s become such a fun aspect for us to talk about so we added it to this episode in its own way. If you’re curious about us as cohosts on this podcast, it’s pretty wild that both our top 3 song choice (and albums) very much define us as humans & swifties. We hope you learn a little bit more about us after listening.

  • The Red era
    Sep 9 2023

    Send us a Text Message.

It feels like the perfect night… to drop the Red era.🤭 OUT NOW!❤️

In 2012, Taylor Swift was 22 and turning into a pop icon of our generation. Her fourth studio album RED had it’s moment 11 years ago, and it had its moment again in 2021 when it was rereleased as (Taylor’s Version). When explaining the re-record of this album , Taylor Swift says: “I look back on RED as my true breakup album. Every other album has flickers of different things. But this was an album that I wrote specifically about pure, absolute, to the core heartbreak.” And that is exactly how we are going to dive into this era.

In this episode, we of course have to talk about the original era & track list, but that doesn’t even scratch the surface of how much of an impact this album has had in present day. We now have the All Too Well (TMV) & Short Film to discuss, along with our top 5 songs including the tracks (from the vault). Sadie Sink & Dylan O’Brien. 🎬 The eras tour rain show.🌧️ Our own personal stories of heartbreak.❤️‍🩹 Message in a Bottle.🍾 State of Grace.💃🏼 All some of our favorite things associated with this era and so much more!! We are The Lucky Ones for being able to talk about this album & era in its entirety. It dives into emotions that we know All Too Well. It brings back so many memories that feel like The Very First night these songs were released. We hope you will Stay, Stay Stay for this entire episode (and it is a lengthy one)(sorry we are done with the puns now too). As always, thank you for listening!🥰
