  • Ezra & Nehemiah: While We Wait
    Jul 26 2024

Our final session of Ezra & Nehemiah! Journey with us as we recap the previous weeks and breakdown Nehemiah 13. Spoiler alert: God's people break their promises! The final chapter of Nehemiah is the last entry of the chronological history of God's people in the Old Testament, and it doesn't end all that well. But my challenge for us is to be OK with the incompletion because it's pointing us to Jesus.

Here is our final large group notes if you'd like to follow along! Thank you for joining us this summer, sister!

  • Ezra & Nehemiah: Remember the Goodness of God
    Jul 12 2024

Let's talk about WORSHIP! In Nehemiah 8 we see worship restored and it is amazing. When we take a closer look at the people of Israel as they worship we notice their:

    • Preparation
    • Adoration
    • Celebration
    • Devotion

Jesus ushered in new covenant worship, so as we look back and learn from the people in Nehemiah and look forward to worshiping the Lord in Spirit and truth, we cherish the goodness of God.

  • Ezra & Nehemiah: We Will Have Trouble w/ Claire Fults
    Jul 2 2024

Our focus for Week 3 of Ezra & Nehemiah is on Opposition. Both Ezra and Nehemiah faced opposition and we too face it, every day. Claire Fults shares with us a great, challenging message on how these two handled opposition. We have a lot to learn and apply to our own lives!

      • E: Exclaims (Neh 1:5-10)
      • A: (Is) Available (Neh 1:11)
      • R: Responds (Neh 2:3-4)
      • T: (Does the) Task (Neh 2:5-6)
    • Who is your heart broken for? What are you (prayerfully) going to do about it?

  • Women of Life Change
    Jun 19 2024

We hosted a summer gathering with the women of our church. After learning all about planting flowers from the amazing Birmingham Flower Girls, we tied it all together with words from the Apostle Paul:
I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. - 1 Cor. 3:6

    We have a Task
    We have A Friend
    We have God

Using the acronym T-A-G, Tori asked the following questions:

T - Are you being obedient?

A - Are they your ministry partner?

G - Are you trusting God?

We want our TAG, our identity to be Women of Life Change. As we follow this rhythm of fulfilling our tasks, supporting one another, and trusting God to do only He can do we will see God change lives in a way only He can do.
