The Gwinnett Stripers defeated the Durham Bulls 6-2 in the third game of a six-game set. Jeffrey Springs worked five innings in a rehab start, allowing three runs in taking the loss.

Bob Seymour delivered the game-winning single in the ninth to lift the Durham Bulls past the Gwinnett Stripers 7-6. Austin Shenton went 4-4 with two homers and five RBI.

The Jacksonvillle Jumbo Shrimp swept the Durham Bulls in a Saturday doubleheader that stretched into Sunday morning, taking the pair 3-2 and 6-4.

The first game was delayed by rain in the fourth inning for nearly 2 1/2 hours before the game was resumed. Jacksonville won the opener thanks to a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh.

In the nightcap that ended at 12:36am Sunday, Jacksonville scored twice in the sixth to snap a 4-4 tie.

Austin Shenton homered twice in a losing cause for the Bulls as Charlotte beat Durham for the third straight game 9-5 on Sunday.

Rene Pinto homered as part of a five-run fourth inning, but the Durham Bulls fell to the Charlotte Knights 7-5 on Saturday night.
