Discussed in a previous episode about xenotransplants, we are disheartened to tell you all, Mr. David Bennett Sr. has passed away. On January 7th, Mr. Bennett took a risk and had a genetically modified pig heart transplanted into his body. His willingness to participate in this endeavor helped lead this experimental procedure and led to new data and will help others in the future. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of those affected.

We've seen in uptick in mental illness in the past decade and society as it is makes it easier for big organizations or private companies to prey on them and make it worse. As people struggle to find organ donors science has answered the call. Genetically modified pig organs! Yep, modified pig organs. And they work! Multiple transplants have taken place and shown great success. Hopefully soon you won't have to wait months or years for a donor or risk your life in one of those shady back alley doctor offices with a maybe maybe not stolen kidney!

Scientists have found a way to change your DNA! Yep by slicing out the "undesirable" strains and replacing them with the "desirable" ones. Stopping genetic diseases and, heck, even making sure your traits are passed on to your offspring. May seem cool until someone else decides what traits are desirable... 

Imagine, if you will, a tiny microchip inserted into your brain allowing you to control a computer. Taking the basic impulses of your brain and bringing them to fruition without so much as the movement of your body. From sending tweets to playing basic computer games. You don't have to imagine anymore as they are very real and already in use.

We've all come across some crazy images and videos and really had to watch to see if they were real. In comes Blender making it to where we won't be able to do that! Don't trust everything you see on the internet!
