Half-life is the time required for a quantity of substance to reduce to half of its initial value. For example, the half-life of radium-226 is approximately 1,600 years, whereas the half-life of Atlas' patience for companies that kill their workers and then try to blame said workers is approximately 0.5 nanoseconds.
