  • Pitch Matching, Introduction (Ear Training)
    Jul 1 2019

Welcome to the Ear Training Audio Series and the episode "Pitch Matching, Introduction (Ear Training)"
Pitch Matching is a simple but effective Ear Training technique.
It consists of listening to notes being played at the piano and singing them back.
We are going to play random notes all across the keyboard.
We will listen to those notes and do our best to sing them back by matching the right pitch.
We are going to use all 88 notes available at the piano, in order to train to perceive a wide range of pitches.
This might be challenging in the beginning, but you’ll be surprised how your “Aural Bandwidth” will expand through this practice.
When singing the notes back, we will sing them in our comfortable vocal range.

    So, that is "Pitch Matching"!
Let’s go to the next video and start practicing.

    See you then!
