  • The case was open for 10 years. From the beginning, the most pressing question was whether or not it was an inside job.     The case was open for 10 years and in total the investigation spanned to over 6000 pages. Lead after lead, after lead that never led to a clear conclusion. There were two options, either it was a inside job - or someone from the outside. Against all logic, the police put down a lot of resources to track down an outsider. But how could they miss the most obvious, logical route? And why has nobody ever been caught?

Great story!

I loved listening to this story! I had a connection with it since it happened near Gallivere, Sweden and it mentioned the Saumi reindeer herders. These places are a part of my family history and I hope to go to Gallivere, Sweden within the next couple years. This is what made my interest in this story really peak.

As for the story, it sounds like the police were not thinking at all when they did their investigating. It is sad that someone got away with such a heist so easily simply because the police didnt do their job properly. I hope the police there are better these days!
