Episode 016: Cultivating Grief Practices with Alison Nail-Malone

  • Summary

  • On this episode of The Podcast About People I chat with Alison Nail-Malone, Alison is a credentialed, award-winning leadership coach, End-of-Life Doula, and Grief Educator. She spent 15 years in human resources, performance engagement, and leadership development. In 2016, Alison took the leap from corporate leadership to opening Malone Consultants Group – an HR agency that primarily focuses on ensuring that nonprofit organizations and small businesses have access to strategic human resources support and leadership development, instead of it being a luxury item.

After two devastating losses in 2020 and seeing her communities deal with death on a daily basis, she was inspired to seek her accreditation and certifications as an End-of-Life Doula and Grief Educator. This deepened her work to support community and corporate leaders in navigating and humanizing their grief while they still get 'work' done.

On a personal level, Alison is the champion of two life-threatening challenges and knows firsthand the act of courageously facing seemingly insurmountable odds. She is a teacher, facilitator, noted public speaker, and community advocate. Alison also enjoys spending time with her family visiting America’s National Parks (and always on the search for Bigfoot).
