  • Beauty World is better known to be as qit-goh, or 7-mile in Hokkien. It was also a place so familiar to my family as I was growing up, due to it being close to where my grandfather’s house was and was a site for family gatherings, shopping, and late-night suppers. However, I never quite remembered the street names. Unbeknownst to me, the whole area used to belong to 1 particular person. We track down his descendants and where they are now.
