  • The troubled teen is a well-worn fixture in television. Usually in tow are their absent, well-meaning but clueless or totally narcissistic parent(s). But what we’ve rarely seen portrayed on TV is the presence of an elder queer caretaker who is rigorous when she needs to be and chill about the small stuff.
