  • West Virginia is known for many things: being the only state completely within the Appalachian Mountain range, one of the most photographed venues with Blackwater Falls, and was the birthplace of the wondrous McElroy brothers. But, like most other places in the world, West Virginia is also home to some dark and creepy tales. While the Mothman is one of the most celebrated cryptids, he’s also one of the most mysterious. Is he some demonic specter who is the bringer of disaster, or is he a creature who is simply trying to warn the inhabitants of Earth of impending disaster?
