Folks, we got a fun one for you this week! Mike plays guitar during the whole episode, demonstrating some super radical tones from his guitar effects processor. Our primary topic, which we don't even SLIGHTLY stick to, like, at all, is how we, as a cover band, try to play the right notes, but often fail; but does anyone other than musicians notice? Unlikely. We discuss some stage SNAFUs, the few times we've restarted songs on stage (which is a big no-no; dare I say an unspoken rule for live performances). We also discuss why we use iPads live. Many local original acts like to poke fun at cover bands that use iPads, but they're not playing 200 songs on a rotating basis. It's not that we sit there and read lyrics while we're playing, but an occasional reminder of how the next verse starts is helpful (plus we use them to send MIDI data to all of our equipment to change presets, tunings, parameters, etc.) Anyway, we had a lot of fun recording this.
