His remarkable rate of only 1 patient in 8,500 joint surgical infection is far below the 1-in-100 that is common in the field. This is a testament to his expertise.

The Longenecker family has roots in Jacksonville. His love of community is well-known, as is his love of animals, especially horses. His Morgan horse won the national championship in 2012.
