João is a Brazilian qualified Lawyer with a strong background in research and litigation focused on the civil, economic, and social rights of Brazilian nationals, refugees, and migrants. He has conducted extensive research on mass surveillance technologies, internet shutdowns, and their impact on the civil and political rights of Human Rights Defenders in Latin America. As a Chevening Scholar in the UK, João further developed his expertise in law and human rights. He aspires to work as a Business and Human Rights/ESG consultant or analyst, assisting companies in integrating sustainability principles into their supply chains and internal policies through research analysis, capacity training, and data assessment.

Adriana Lacombe Coiro is a former student of FGV Direito Rio and recently completed her LL.M. degree at Harvard Law School. She was the recipient of the prestigious Jorge Paulo Lemann Fellowship, as well as the Person of the Year Fellowship from the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce. With her impressive academic and professional background, Adriana brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with listeners about her time at Harvard and navigating the application process.

Fadi Khalil is currently a Working Group Expert Member at the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM), Specializing in Public International Law from the University of Nottingham. His areas of specialization include subjects and sources of International Law, acquisition and loss of territories, International Law on the Use of Force, UN Law, Law of Treaties, International Human Rights Law (IHRL), International Humanitarian Law (IHL), International Criminal Law, Post-conflict Law, and State Responsibility.

Harpreet Singh Hora is a practicing lawyer in the Supreme Court of India and various High Courts in India for the past 6 years. He has experience working with the Government of India, as well as serving as a Legal Aid Counsel for Magistrate Courts on the Criminal Panel. His private practice includes Criminal Law, Family Law, and Service Law, and he has also represented clients in cases related to student rights, constitutional rights of religious minorities, and prison reforms. He holds degrees in both Software Engineering and Law and is currently enrolled in the Licensing process with the Law Society of Ontario. Harpreet has experience handling cases involving cross-border drug recovery, aircraft hijacking, homicide, and juvenile crimes, as well as cases related to genocide.
