  • Why did the Butterfly cross the ocean? Well, some entomologists worked pretty hard to find out.

    New research shows evidence that painted lady butterflies may be making their way from Africa and Europe, all the way to South America, and gave us an insight into new ways to study migratory patterns.

    For a closer look, KCBS Radio news anchor Nikki Medoro spoke with Gerard Talavera, Researcher at the Botanical Institute of Barcelona, who conducted the study. Talavera studies how insects migrate and why.
