FBI Retired Case File Review

De: Jerri Williams
  • Resumen

  • Have you ever thought how cool it would be to eavesdrop on the FBI? On FBI Retired Case File Review, host Jerri Williams, a retired agent herself, is on a mission to show you who the FBI is and what the FBI does by interviewing her former Bureau colleagues who share personal stories about the Bureau's most intriguing and high-profile cases, as well as many you've never heard of. Listen in on their conversations and experience what it’s like to hunt down a serial killer or terrorist, catch a spy during an espionage case, comb through a file cabinet of incriminating documents in a corruption investigation, or sit on a wire and conduct a physical surveillance to gather evidence of drug trafficking or organized crime. Jul 11 2024

Retired agent and BAU profiler Leonard Opanashuk reviews his 2002 investigation of the murders of two young Oregon City schoolgirls, Ashley Pond and Miranda Gaddis, who, within two months of each other, disappeared under mysterious circumstances en route to their neighborhood school bus stop. Len, a relatively new agent with just over a year of experience in the FBI, was assigned the missing schoolgirls case and was present when investigators discovered the remains of both girls buried on a neighbor's property. During the episode, Len explains how working this case shaped the rest of his FBI career. He served in the FBI for over 22 years.

  • 323: Understanding Deadly Force with Stop The Killing Podcast
    Jul 3 2024

I teamed up with the Stop The Killing podcast. When the hosts, Katherine Schweit and Sara Ferris, invited me to be a guest on their show, I suggested we review the core principles of America's deadly force policy assumed by everyone who carries a gun, whether they’re a law enforcement officer or private citizen. I hope our conversation provides an understanding of what it’s like to carry a gun. I dedicate this show to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives in the line of duty.

    Jun 26 2024

Retired agent Mark Sewell reviews his investigation of mafia associate Steve Kaplan and Kaplan’s operation of The Gold Club, the infamous Atlanta strip club that hosted some of the most recognized professional athletes and celebrities in America.

The Gold Club was the largest single money maker for the Gambino Crime Family. Kaplan, mobster Michael “Mikey Scars” DiLeonardo, and 13 others were charged with racketeering, money laundering and prostitution counts in an indictment that included criminal activity in Miami and New York. Mark Sewell is the author of Investigating America’s Most Notorious Strip Club: The FBI, The Gold Club, and the Mafia, his personal account of what it was like to investigate the case and be prominently featured in the 2001 trial, covered daily by media outlets. His true crime tale covers the twist that brought the four-month trial to a shocking conclusion. Mark Sewell served in the FBI for 20 years.
