  • Summary

  • After 2 years of planning and even longer dreaming, we have finally commenced our 2-year journey around, across and throughout Australia to discover its unique places, incredible people, rich cultures, authentic experiences and amazing history. We are total newbies to full time caravan living and everything that comes with it, but we knew it was time for a change before life passed us by! So we decided to unplug from our hectic lives, take a leap of faith and spend as much time together travelling as a family. We invite you to join us on our journey as we share each adventure as we go, looking for experiences that keep us connected as a family and moments that just make you feel good! New destinations every week and a new episode every Friday night 8:30pm [Australian Eastern Standard Time] so be sure to subscribe and tune in! We’d also love to connect with you via our social and media channels Website www.thefeelgoodfamily.com.au Instagram @thefeelgoodfamily_ Facebook @thefeelgoodfamily YouTube thefeelgoodfamily

  • Spectacular Kings Canyon and Katie Tackles the Caravan Killer!
    Jul 20 2024

We say goodbye to Uluru and drive 260km to Kings Creek Station, a rustic campground and cattle station, famous for their camel burgers, located on the boundary of Watarrka National Park. We set up camp for 4 nights and explore the various hikes and activities available within the National Park, including the beautiful and fairly easy Kings Creek hike, and the 6km moderate Kings Canyon Rim Walk which is a must do bucket list experience when visiting Australia's Red Centre!

We enjoy a night at the Discovery Parks Kings Canyon Resort to experience the beautiful art installation, Light Towers, by Bruce Munro, then set off early the next day towards the West MacDonnell Ranges.

It's pitted as one of Australia's worst outback roads, the infamous Mereenie Loop, AKA the CARAVAN KILLER! Katie takes up the challenge and tows the van along the entire 160km of dirt, corrugations and washouts... what could possibly go wrong?

  • The Ultimate Guide To Experiencing Uluru! (2024)
    Jul 17 2024

We're camped up at the Ayers Rock Resort Campground and book in for the best experience we've had, riding bicycles around Uluru! If you're not travelling with your own bikes like us, it's so easy to hire a bike from Outback Cycling and take on the challenge of the 15km Uluru base circuit. What a breathtaking way to experience this incredibly huge monolith!

Plus we test out the Uluru Audio Guide - something we would highly recommend you purchase during your visit - and we cook up an Aussie inspired damper while watching the sunset over Uluru.

We get up early to witness the beautiful sunrise over Uluru, then it's off to explore incredible Kata-Tjuta, for one of our favourite family friendly hikes!
