• Feed Your Tigers Podcast Trailer
    Oct 12 2021

Have you ever had that feeling like who you are and what you’re doing are not in sync? Maybe like you have some amazing talent that’s not being fully utilized or rewarded. Or that you’re fed up with work and just want a change—but are not sure how to make it happen. Well, if so, you’ve landed in the right place. I’m Steven Rudolph and this is the Feed Your Tigers podcast

Feed your tigers is for people who want to live life the way they want it to be—not necessarily the way that it’s turned out. And I’m here to tell you that this is absolutely possible—when you identify your natural abilities (your tigers) and align them effectively with what you do (that’s the feeding part).

In each episode of Feed Your Tigers, I share with you tools and ideas that I developed on a 25-year journey to India and the East. And this will help you in a number of ways.

    • You’ll be able to understand what exactly your talents are
    • Make better career decisions
    • Bring yourself into balance when you get out of whack
    • You’ll learn how to increase your energy and productivity, naturally
    • reduce conflict and  strengthen relationships
    • and leverage others’ talents so you get to do more of the things you love doing, and less of the things you don’t

The FYT podcast airs weekly and lasts 30-40 minutes. It includes a mix of interviews and cohosted sessions with some incredible, authentic people—and sometimes just me going solo. You can find the show on your favorite podcast station and our website feedyourtigers.com.

  • #1: The Secret of Feed Your Tigers
    Nov 4 2021

In this episode, I pull off the gloves and get to the heart of the matter: the secret that underscores the Feed Your Tigers podcast. I distill the essence of my nearly three decades in India and the East down to a single lesson that every person must learn if they want to become the fullest version of themselves.

To explain the concept, I draw inspiration from the world’s longest epic, the Mahabharata, cutting right to the chase scene. Here, I narrate a portion of the story, from what is called the Bhagavad Gita—where the hero, Arjuna, stands on the battlefield poised to fight, but faces his greatest dilemma—a massive identity crisis.

Arjuna’s problem is representative of the same crisis each one of us faces at one time or another (and sometimes all at once):

    • Who am I?
    • What are my talents?
    • What is my purpose?
    • How should I act in a situation where everything is falling apart?
    • What decision should I make in my life and career to lead the best life possible?

While these questions are profound and require a lifetime to explore and understand, the Gita shines some light on where the answers lie: it explains how each of us has a unique Nature, and when we are connected with it, we thrive; however, when we’re disconnected from it, or misaligned, we suffer.

I connect these issues to the modern-day issues that each of us faces in a world that puts little value in personal development and more on external achievement—even at the expense of our physical and mental health.

The program ends with a definition of a Nature and an example of one of the 19-traits (tigers) that makes up a Nature, and an invitation for you to join me in a journey to explore your unique Nature, and how you can align so you thrive.

  • #2: The 5 Pillars Of Life
    Nov 12 2021

In the second episode, I share a concept called the 5 Pillars of Life. It’s an idea I learned on my journey to India, one that’s helped me when life has gotten unstable.

I go through the five pillars—the five most important areas of your life that require attention in order to maintain balance.  I demonstrate how to:

    • segment problems with these categories to deal with issues more easily
    • recall the tool whenever you’re facing a breakdown
    • increase stability in your life by regularly nurturing each pillar

In order to make the topic practical, you’ll do an on-the-spot assessment of your life overall to see which of your pillars is standing strong, wobbling, or crumbling.

Finally, I share a personal story about my Indian guru and the answer he gave me when I asked him why my business was failing. His answer is absolutely not what you would expect—and provides a powerful insight for getting the right advice.

  • #3: Rock Your Role
    Nov 24 2021

In this episode, we explore life as a drama—a play of sorts—that provides you opportunities to “act”. We’ll see how sometimes the story that you are currently living is not necessarily the one that you want to be starring in—so what do you do?

We’ll look at how you can get aligned with scenarios that are far from ideal, and also how you can move toward creating the type of drama that genuinely suits you—that more easily aligns with your tigers.

There’s also a special surprise—an original song called Rock Your Role. The lyrics go along with the theme of the episode, and we’ll go through them over the course of the show. I thought it would be an interesting way to structure the content of the program.

Enjoy the episode (and don’t forget to feed your tigers!).

    Best wishes,

    Steven

  • #4: Identify Your Strong Talents With Just Three Questions
    Nov 30 2021

One of the reasons you might not be achieving the success you want to achieve is that you are depending on tigers that aren’t your strongest ones.

In this episode, I focus on why people you might be overestimating the strength of your talents and how it could be limiting your ability to thrive. I then provide you with three questions you can ask yourself that will help you determine if certain tigers of yours are genuinely big ones or not.

Knowing whether tigers are genuinely big ones or not will help you make better decisions about whether to change career directions, to double down on a direction you are pursuing, to get support in areas where you might need it, and so on.

To demonstrate this concept, I tell a true story of a client of mine who dropped out of college to pursue a dream based on an average size tiger and misled himself. After an honest appraisal of his talents, he discovered another tiger would lead him to the success and happiness he enjoys today.

    FREE BONUS

To help you determine the strength of your tigers, I’m pleased to share with you a tool: The  7-Way Test. This is a free PDF that includes the three questions from this episode, as well as an additional four questions that you can ask yourself in order to help you be certain that a talent you are exploring is indeed a strong one.

  • #5: Get Work Done By Engaging Others' Tigers
    Dec 6 2021

This show is especially meant for you if you need to get a critical task done and are finding it nearly impossible to complete it—especially when the cause is a small Administrative Tiger. That is when you don’t have much of a natural tendency to organize and complete work.

Sometimes your motivation, discipline, and grit, just aren’t enough to overcome the inertia of not completing an essential assignment or activity. Don’t despair!

In this episode, I share a technique that will come to your rescue: engaging someone else’s tigers (talents) to help get you organized. It sounds deceptively simple, however, if you don’t engage the right type of person and enroll them in the right way, there are chances you’ll wind up blowing it and winding up worse off than before.

In addition to providing with a surefire process, I also share:

    • why this method works
    • the main caveats that can mess things up
    • a touching success story of one of my clients who used this technique

If you’ve got a huge task or job that needs to get done and is could create huge problems for you if it doesn’t get done soon, you will find this approach to accomplishing your goal a lifesaver. It’s one that I have relied on more than once!

After you’ve listened to the episode, give this technique a try—and let me know how you make out. I’d love to hear about it and how it’s affected your life.
