Always punishing myself and comparing myself to someone who is a lot better than me.  I'm here to tell you that you're not a slow learner you're just going at your own pace. It took me alot of years to figure this one out myself, really getting me nowhere. now I'm starting to focus on my stronger aspects and doing more of that.  We've all got an inner genius somewhere inside of us.
