Catch us now and later! Jay and Lindsey review Blue Thunder (1983).

1980s cinema became a fertile ground for the Cold War techno-thilller and Director John Badham had two in 1983 with WarGames and Blue Thunder. Star Roy Scheider and Badham both felt strongly that the dangers of the constant surveillance state as well as military-grade armament of the police were not to be taken lightly. • 381. Rambo (2008)
    May 13 2024

The legacy sequel we didn't know we needed. Jay and guests Matt from Film Feast, Andy from Imperial Scum, and Carmelita Valdez McCoy track through the jungles of Rambo (2008).

Listen as Jay welcome guests Matt Bledsoe, Andy Gorham, and Carmelita Valdez-McKoy for this review.

  • 380. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)
    Apr 29 2024

We will try to make the best guess we can. Jay and Nate review Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986). Part of the ongoing Star Trek Retrospective Series.

After the successes of parts 2 and 3, another entry was inevitable. But the creators - and many of the cast members - felt like they needed to lean more into comedy after the stark action and drama of the series so far. Did the gamble to combine chuckles with a time-travel, fish-out-of-water story work? Find out on the latest installment in our Star Trek retrospective series.
