Join Steph and Jess for the final installment of Summer Slashers! We end it with 2015’s The Final Girls. It was a first watch for both of us and while we agreed we would possibly watch it again if it happened to be streaming on something we already pay for, we also thought it was more teen mother/daughter drama with a side of slasher. We also wonder if Taissa Farmiga and J. Love Hewitt went to the same eye acting classes, and have a thunderstorm as a surprise guest!

We both have had a J.Love it/hate it/J.Love it relationship with this one. We discuss why Sarah Michelle Gellar gets the MVP overall while her worse half, Freddie, flounders and fades in this one amongst other fun observations we missed during earlier watches.

Steph looks back at this one fondly having owned the dubbed Blockbuster VHS, Jess got mad superhero vibes from the heroine, and they both agree that the numerous running shots do not get quite as tedious as you think they would.

Join Steph and Jess as they’re midway through their European Vacation with the 2021 French film, The Deep House. Jess was underwhelmed by this underwater flick, Steph shares how her version would have ended, and they commiserate together about artists who ruin their art by their own crap actions.
