  • Summary

  • David Smallwood has spent almost all his working life in  high-risk areas. First as a soldier, later in diplomacy, now in security were he at the moment is working with prevention of kidnapping and terror attempts. David grew up in Kirkby and started going to the boy’s pen and the Kop from a very young age, (he and David Fairclough have big smiles sharing fond memories from the Boy’s pen). But it was also where he learnt to toughen up. Liverpool FC is helping David do his job worldwide and also helping him process traumatic experiences from the conflict zones around the world. Enjoy this year’s first podcast as we travel the world with the show’s first proper bodyguard.
