  • Ep. 80 Hinterkaifeck Murders
    Sep 15 2022

Welcome back to the Future is Bright? So sorry you have to hear Brights voice twice in one week but here we are! This week Bridget tells Lindsay about the Hinterkaifeck murders. This is a German case that took place in the years following World War I. It was a brutal murder of a family on a farm. The killer was thought to have stayed in the house after the murders while the family was left in the barn outside the house. And the crazy part is...its unsolved! No one knows who killed this family on that day almost 100 years later. So buckle up because this one is brutal and doesn't have a solid ending

  • Ep. 77 Action Park
    Jul 20 2022

Welcome back to the Future is Bright? This week Bridget tells Lindsay about not really a true crime case, although it should probably be considered one. This is the history of Action Park, dubbed Class Action Park, an amusement/water park in New Jersey. This title is for a good reason too, they had rides that didn't look like they took safety or physics into consideration. The park had several deaths and eventually was closed down as it was once known but reopened with less dangerous attractions. Grab a drink and get ready to be thankful you never went here as a kid

  • Ep 73 The Stanford Prison Experiment
    May 18 2022

Welcome back to The Future is Bright? This week Bridget tells Lindsay about the very real Stanford Prison Experiment. This is an experiment to see how prisoners and guards interact with one another and the influence of power. This was done with college kids who were randomly assigned to be a prisoner or a guard in this fake prison. The "prisoners" were treated as such by the guards. It was supposed to last 14 days but only ended up last 6 because of the effect the power struggle had on everyone. Ethics is not something that was thought about in this situation and a lot changed because of this. Tune in this week to learn all about this pretty crazy experiment
