He was assigned to Proby school in late 1967 and assigned to Engine 302 in January 1968. He transferred to newly formed 2nd section, Ladder 103-2 in August 1968. He worked there until they were disbanded in 1974. He then transferred to Engine 328 until the fiscal crisis in 1975/76. He transferred to 96 Engine in the Bronx in 1976 for about a year before going across the floor to 54 truck where he worked for the remainder of his career retiring in 1989.
