Sorry we're a bit late...we were busy celebrating Mary Shelley's birthday! Well...not really. But it WAS Mary Shelley's birthday yesterday, so happy birthday to her. Please enjoy this stitched-together monstrous creation of our own.

Often, stories are how we make sense of the world. Sometimes the world helps us make sense of stories. Or serves as a reminder. This is the case for the Witch's Leg, a large oak tree standing in the middle of the ruins of St Mary's church hidden within the forest. According to legend, it is a defiant remnant of an alleged witch buried there during the witch trials in England. But the oak may not be the only remnant of the departed...

  • L'Inconnue de la Seine
    Jul 19 2024

It's Olympics time again, and this time there's been quite a scene at the Seine. Which reminded us of a story we have been meaning to tell for a long time, that of L'Inconnue de la Seine (The Unknown Woman of the Seine). Even though her body allegedly washed up on the shores of the Seine more than 100 years ago, you'd almost certainly recognise her. You've probably even kissed her. You might even have called her by her current name- Resusi Anne. And if you haven't already, it's probably time to put a name to that face. Or at the very least, a story.

Glasnevin is the spooky heart of Dublin. Saturated in Irish history and paranormal activity the cemetery is the eternal home a million souls. And next door - well what better than a haunted pub. Come in and enjoy a pint... if you dare.

Also apologies for the audio - apparently Liv cannot sit still.

  • The Most Haunted Room at The Ancient Ram Inn
    Jun 21 2024

The Ancient Ram Inn is the oldest building in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire. It's also very haunted. The most haunted, some say. There's certainly a lot of ghosts. As former resident and caretaker John Humphies said, it's 'a lot for one room'.

Please note this episode has a fair number of content warnings, which we list before we begin telling the story. They include murder, child murder, ritual sacrifice, death of animals, and sexual assault. If this isn't your thing, we have other lighter episodes for you to enjoy.
