  • "ECT causes PTSD, and has been described as 'soul rape.'” - Level One Trauma Nurse – Tune In…
    May 30 2024
"Today on H.O.L.D.F.A.S.T. Radio I discussed ECT (electroconvulsive therapy), sharing one woman's account of ECT from her perspective as a level one trauma nurse for 25 years. She has been hushed by the medical industry for her attempt to expose ECT for what it is; harmful, and soul-crushing. Her attempt to give ECT patients/victims a voice has been fruitless. I, too, have felt the repercussions of ECT and feel that the ill effects of this barbaric so-called treatment need to be exposed. ECT, in my humble opinion, is not used to help... but to hinder those who suffer from mental dis-ease. It simply creates an initial false sense of euphoria, followed by mental and emotional nothingness. It is clearly a barbaric tool that manufactures submissive, helpless meat puppets out of feeling humans... and sadly, it works." - A. Grieme - Today’s episode featured the music of very REAL musicians: Big Thief, Lowertown, Mannequin Pussy, and Papa Dose (featuring Jillian Taylor and Ruby the Hatchett).

  • So... what is Positive Psychology (PosPsy) and how will it help you?
    Jan 23 2024
" What characteristics do people with high levels of happiness possess? What qualities do people who manage their troubles effectively have? What strengths do these people possess?
If we learn what differentiates happy and resilient people from unhappy and emotionally vulnerable people, then perhaps we can use this knowledge to increase happiness and boost the resilience of others." - A. • Hope (ium) is a hell of a lot more effective than opium! Pos Psy and Eastern Philosophy are GREAT tools!
    Jan 4 2024
"After many years as a patient, I was introduced to Positive Psychology (PosPsy), a scientific methodology that investigates human behavior focusing on a patient's strengths, rather than weaknesses. I found that if I moved my thinking out of my cluttered mind and slid approximately 18”down into my heart space, I was far more comfortable in my own skin. It took practice, but it was there that I found clarity; I felt content with discontentment." - A. Grieme

  • Episode 21 - Day 6 -(D)iscern Triggers with Logic and move forward :)
    Feb 3 2023
"...and what about the less-than-perfect moments? What do you do when you are triggered by something, ANYTHING, when it just isn't a good day? It happens. Shit happens. Life just is... and when you are dealing with mental illness, whether your own or anothers, sometimes the tiniest match head can be ignited by the most unlikely spark. Irrational anger is inevitable. It is the way we deal with it that matters; not the anger itself." - A. Grieme Tune in to explore this and more on H.O.L.F.A.S.T. Radio. Feb 2 2023
"To explore your mental health and understand it, you must open a dialogue with someone or group of people who can empathize...outside of your inner circle. Then, look to your heart; it is a place of honesty. You will find strength there and see things with clarity. It is being." - A. Grieme
