Isaiah 60

Isaiah 60 is an address to the bride of Christ, the holy city of Jerusalem, to 'arise and shine' for the Redeemer has come. We reflect on the Church’s role as a light to the nations, filled with the glory of God. Hear as Reverend Alexander urges us to live for the display of His splendor on Hear the Word of God.

Isaiah 58-59

The people are dealing with the problem of unanswered prayer because of their false fasting and sin. God assures them through Isaiah that their godlessness is personal and can only be dealt with through the Lord Himself. Isaiah 57

In this chapter, the people of God have been false and faithless, but God sends words of hope and encouragement through Isaiah. To the contrite of heart, He will turn away His wrath and bring healing. Isaiah 56-57

At this point in Isaiah, the prophet addresses the leaders of God’s people, chastising them for their failure to lead with wisdom and zeal. Isaiah 53

Isaiah 53 gives us the most amazing picture of God stretching forth His mighty arm to save His people. He bids them to behold His Son, who will fulfill the role of Jehovah’s Servant, to accomplish this redeeming work. Isaiah 52

This episode is a clarion call to 'Awake, Awake, O Zion,' to rise and embrace their splendor as kings rather than slaves. In this chapter leading to the fourth Servant Song, we learn of the salvation that God is going to accomplish as he brings his people out of Babylon. Isaiah 51:1-11b

As we look deeper into Chapter 51, Isaiah prays with great boldness on behalf of Israel, that God would arise, awaken, and ransom His people. God answers his servant’s cry and assures them that He is the covenant God who will never let them go. Isaiah 51:1-11

Isaiah now addresses those who have remained faithful among God’s people in Babylon. God urges them to remember their past and promises to restore their joy and bring everlasting salvation.
