Her ADHD Podcast

  • Summary

  • Why is there a boom in 30+ year old women going for ADHD assessments? Is it just a trend? Or is it that we really are the missed generation and more importantly, the missed gender.

In this podcast, I'll be addressing why ADHD is not "just for boys" - how females often present so differently to males. I'll be talking about how ADHD presents in girls in the classroom, all the way up to how it has presented for me in motherhood, marriage and the mayhem it can cause in every day life.

I'll be joined by other neurodivergent ladies where we openly discuss our traits, coping mechanisms and how a diagnosis has brought validation to our chaotic lives. We will hopefully all have a giggle along the way while advocating that it really is ok to want to go for a late diagnosis - while showing you how to be unapologetically ADHD.

  • Ep 5: I'm not depressed.. it's ADHD burn out!
    Jun 18 2024
In episode 5 I'll be discussing ADHD burn out! How it can mirror depression to an outsider looking in.. and why are thousands of women diagnosed with depression, anxiety and mental health disorders BEFORE being assessed for being on the spectrum?

ADHD burn out is REAL and can be debilitating.

I hope it resonates with you and helps spread some ADHD awareness!

  • Ep 3: It's not you, it's me
    May 27 2024
It's episode 3! I'll be discussing all of those behaviours that are actually ADHD traits and how these behaviours show up in marriage, friendships and social situations!

Loving an ADHDer isn't always easy.. we don't always communicate very well and we often disappear off the face of the earth just needing some alone time to recharge. Whether that be in marriage or friendship.. I hope by explaining some of the behaviours of an inattentive ADHDer, you'll be able to see that honestly, 'it's not you, it's me!'

I hope this resonates with you and also helps you to understand yourself, or the ADHDer you love so dearly.

    Lots of love

    Chelsea xoxo
