    The U.S. Men’s Soccer Team is into the knockout round of the Olympics! They booked their ticket on Tuesday with a 3-0 win against Guinea which put them in second place in Group A, behind France. The U.S. will now move on to the quarterfinals where they will play Morocco this Friday, August 2.

    On today’s show, I’m going to share three quick thoughts on the U.S. Men’s Olympic team - I’ll look at their group stage performance, some players that have stood out so far, and then I’ll look ahead to their matchup against Morocco.

  • Who will be the next USMNT head coach?

    It’s been about one week since Gregg Berhalter was relieved of his head coaching duties for the USMNT. Matt Crocker, the Sporting Director for U.S. Soccer, has said that he’d like to have a new coach in place before the U.S. plays their September friendlies. Those are currently scheduled for September 7 and 10.

  • Recap: USMNT vs Panama

    On Thursday night, The USMNT lost 2-1 to Panama in their second group stage match of the Copa America. Tim Weah received a red card in the 18th minute which meant the U.S. had to play with ten men for the remainder of the match. Folarin Balogun scored four minutes later to give the U.S. a 1-0 lead but then Panama came back and scored in the 26th and 83rd minute to win the match.

    On today’s show we’re going to do a full breakdown of the game as well as look ahead to the USMNT’s final group stage match against Uruguay on Monday night.
