The thief cometh not but to steal

I gave them a 3 on performance because that’s what this podcast is, performative. It isn’t even good acting, but it is an act, at least the journalistic side of it is. The more I listen, the more I see through them. When they apologize to victims they’ve actively disparaged or stolen from, then I will edit my comments. Until then, listen with caution. Things aren’t always as they appear.

#credibility

The problem of #toxicmasculinity needs to be addressed. During a livestream (podcast) discussing Depp v Heard, numerous times an abuse survivor would state that Heard's words and actions reminded her of her exboyfriend's or exhusband's abuse and tactics. These women clearly expressed that Amber Heard was the perpetrator of the abuse. Doc John dismissed these women. That is toxic. That mansplaining to victims that they were wrong. The point of the TrueCrime community is to crowdsource Justice and Truth. The distribution of abuse survivors in the TrueCrime community is certainly higher than that of the general population. You cannot dismiss the experience and perceptions of our community of survivors. Their truth is our greatest resource. No degree or clinical experience trumps that truth. Listen better. Be better. Less hubris. Less harm. #credibility
