  • Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889, in Braunau am Inn, Austria. He moved to Germany in 1913 and served in the German Army during World War I, where he was injured and awarded the Iron Cross for bravery. After the war, he became involved in politics, joining the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP), or the Nazi Party.
    By the late 1920s, Hitler had risen to prominence within the party, using his oratory skills to gain a following. In 1923, he attempted a coup known as the Beer Hall Putsch, which failed, leading to his arrest. While in prison, he wrote "Mein Kampf," outlining his ideology, including his beliefs about race, anti-Semitism, and nationalism.
