• What attachment style are you?
    Jul 11 2024

I was told I needed to talk to Laura because she's moving around the globe and still dating as she goes.

    Curiosity peaked!

What's it like to date in other countries? How do you navigate different cultures? If you're always moving, how does dating even fit into that?

The guys to date? It may surprise you 😏

But also, we explore attachment styles, from anxious avoidant to secure. Disclaimer - we're no psychologists, of course.

  • Who the f*ck is Jojo? p2
    Apr 4 2024

I have a 'said too much' hangover and it lasted since part 1 dropped! However, I don't want to be a hypocrite where I'm asking people to open up to me and tell me their stories without ever giving something of me.

Fran and I get into my past relationships then somehow it swings around to sex. And I wasn't very honest WITH ANY OF THEM!

Why's it so hard to talk about!

  • Who the f*ck is Jojo? p1
    Feb 15 2024

Who the fuck am I? I just thought if you listened to the conversations I'd given enough away to know who I am and where I come from. Apparently not! I sat down with my dear pal, Fran, so she could fire the questions at me this time. We talked for so long, I've made it a two parter...you're welcome. Spotlight is on me and I don't make it easy but I've genuinely tried open up in an authentic way. We talk about my previous dating experiences and what I felt when watching my twin give birth to her second son. If you learn anything, you'll probably never take relationship advice from me in the future. Enjoy part 1. Got questions, comments, or feedback? I'm all ears, just keep it kind. • What I've learnt so far?
    Dec 7 2023

People have been asking me what I've learned from having these conversations so far.

I learned a lot and been challenged a lot - the way I see things, my biases, my experiences or lack there of colouring my point of view.

I have learned a lot, from mental health and how to approach someone who is struggling to communication. But don't get me wrong, communication might be key but it's not a walk in the park!

Looking back love isn't easy, it doesn't seem like it's supposed to be but it's also not always actually there. It's about loving yourself, respecting yourself, and respecting the other person. You might even have to be the bad guy in the relationship.

Overall, there's strength and courage in the people that I have spoken to. I hope that it's challenged you or that you've learned something too along the way.

  • In health & in sickness?
    Nov 23 2023

Do we really go into relationships thinking about how we'd feel and what we'd do if the other person got sick?

Lou has been with her wife for over a decade and had to navigate changing health issues from Fibromyalgia to Functional Neurological Disorder while also going through the collective trauma of Covid-19. It's a lot.

It got me thinking...how do you put your trust in the other person to want to stick around for the hard parts? That they're not secretly wishing for a way out?

Lou provides what is a subtle masterclass in how to move through hard times and I'm taking notes!

But it's not all about the struggles, we get a glimpse into how Lou met her wife and why sex isn't as smooth as what you may see on your screens.

  • This isn't Eat, Pray, Love!
    Nov 9 2023

One of the biggest questions is - do you love yourself? Can you answer that honestly? Do you like the answer?

Naomi chats to me about how she quit all dating sites back in 2016 and decided to be single for a while to work on herself. Don't get me wrong, this is no Eat, Pray, Love moment. Looking inwards can be hard and messy but Naomi found a whole lot more! She's now on a mission to help empower more women to find their happiness and health in midlife with Wellthy Evolution.

It's not an easy story though, join us and challenge yourself while you listen.

  • Can we have a clarification conversation?
    Oct 26 2023

Egg was my very first conversation, a gay women going through divorce and starting to date again. A great conversation but the bomb she dropped at the end left me with so much more to ask!

I asked her back for a part 2 and thankfully, she said yes. We get into her thoughts and feelings post-recording - there's some growth - as well as straying into if people are financially compatible. Do you even need to be?

There is also the question...is it a date date or just a mates date? ANOTHER thing in a long list of shit people need to clarify when going out on dates these days. So, let's have a clarification conversation on this whole situation.

  • Is there someone I can call?
    Oct 12 2023

Introducing a straight white guy from America that I somehow found myself relating to in a big way!

Dustin has so many stories from childhood snake catcher to identifying as Asexual and Aromantic. However, how did he go from asexual to a relationship with a woman 4,000 miles away?

How do you even begin to change how you see yourself after years of identifying in a certain way?

Dustin and I also talk about his masculinity and his ability to sparkle while still being able to deadlift a shit ton and steal your wife (there's a TikTok!).

Not one story sticks out over another, what was his thought when he thought his life was about to end? Listen and find out...it caused me to pause every time I've heard it.

TW: there are brief mentions of abuse in the home as well as self-harm. Please take a moment to consider whether you are in the right mindset for this conversation should you have ever been triggered by such subjects.
