  • Defending the Lord: When Do We Stand Firm
    Jan 22 2024

Welcome to today's podcast, where we're digging into the topic of standing up for the Lord. We're taking a closer look at those moments when it's crucial to confidently represent Him and acknowledge the incredible things He's done for us. Additionally, we'll be discussing when it's important not to tolerate any disrespect towards His name and how to navigate that while reflecting the love of Christ.

Lately, I've been fielding quite a few questions, especially about Lil Nas X and his statements. People are wondering, 'Should we approach this with love? Extend grace?' There's also concern about negative portrayals of God and how to respond to that. Over the past couple of weeks, I've been grappling with these questions, seeking guidance through prayer and asking God how to handle these situations.

Wisdom, in my view, involves understanding the situation first and aligning with the Lord's perspective. Without connecting with His heart, conveying both truth and love becomes challenging. During my prayerful reflections, I felt a shared grief with God for what has been said about Him. In that introspective moment, I found a righteous anger stirring within me.

The podcast will dive into defending the Lord with righteousness. Drawing inspiration from the biblical figure David, we'll explore the internal conflict between the initial impulse to take a strong stand and the restraint exercised in obedience to a higher calling. Join us as we navigate the delicate balance of standing firm for the Lord while embodying His love in the face of challenges.
