  • Big Court Opens Up About Loss, Loyalty, and Life Beyond the Streets
    Sep 3 2025

    Send us a text

Courtney Richardson, better known as Big Court of the Holdin’ Court Podcast, recently opened up about a deeply personal moment in his life — the death of his close friend, O.G. Big Court admitted that he hadn’t cried in a long time, but losing O.G. broke that wall. What hurt the most was that disagreements had caused distance between them before his passing, leaving him with pain and regret.
Beyond reflecting on loss, Big Court shared both funny and raw stories from his life in the streets, including dangerous run-ins that tested his survival and resilience. He also recalled moments where he had to “check the temperature” of wealthy businessmen who tried to flex their power in meetings, reminding them that his presence commands respect.
Even as his platform and status have grown, Big Court made it clear that he hasn’t lost touch with where he comes from. He spoke on dealing with trolls from his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri — making it known that while he has evolved, he’s still capable of handling disrespect when necessary.
A major highlight of the conversation was his bond with rapper X-Raided. The two share deep respect and loyalty for one another, always showing up in support. Big Court even stood by X-Raided during the Menendez brothers’ trial, underscoring the strength of their brotherhood.
Through it all, Big Court’s words paint a picture of a man who has survived danger, endured loss, and maintained authenticity — never forgetting loyalty and respect as cornerstones of his life.
