  • John Heick, PT, PhD, OCS, SCS, NCS is the Director of NAU's Physical Therapy Program and Editor of Goodman and Synder's Screening for Referral textbook. Prior to his career in physical therapy, John was an Air Force medic. He has been actively involved in concussion research and leading the movement toward Primary Care as a specialty area within physical therapy.

    He also co-authored a recent paper in PTJ entitled Referral Decision Making and Care Continuity in Physical Therapist Practice.
