  • 129. Navigating Events with Your EX after Divorce
    Jul 15 2024
Today, I’m talking about navigating events with your ex after divorce. This is a situation that comes up for everyone who’s divorced. All of the special events in a child's life still happen after divorce. Baptisms, sports games, recitals, awards ceremonies, concerts, banquets, mission farewells and homecomings, and weddings are all important occasions you want to attend in a child’s life. If both parents are involved in a child’s life, they will want to be there and, possibly even their new romantic partners, and both sets of grandparents and extended family members will want to be there too. And, of course, we want our children to have all of the love and support they can get in their lives. But, it can be difficult to navigate these situations when you’re dealing with your healing and divorce recovery while simultaneously wanting to support and show up for your child. It’s complicated, and dealing with these situations can cause a lot of stress and bring up a lot of emotions. I have navigated many of these situations, learned some great lessons to share, and helped many clients navigate events with exes, so I will share some suggestions to help you prepare to navigate events with your ex! • Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam!
