  • : Remembering and missing Jeff Beck (2010)
    Jul 2 2024
I was absolutely THRILLED to talk to one of my favorite musicians Jeff Beck May 18, 2010, before his concert at Chastain. The depth of his contribution to rock and popular music is unmatched! We talk of his work with American idol contestants, his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by his childhood friend Jimmy Page, and Jeff’s induction of his dear friend Les Paul. One of my favorite parts of this conversation is when we discuss his work on Stevie Wonder’s version of “Superstition”! Jeff Beck would have been 80 on June 24. Sadly, we lost him January 10, 2023. xo

  • Ann Wilson of Heart opens up about music, family and more (2012)
    May 9 2024
I’ve interviewed Ann and Nancy Wilson several times – they are both thoughtful and soft-spoken. Ann, in particular, is a very shy interview. I find the hardest thing about doing phone interviews is that you can’t see who you’re talking to and you don’t want to talk over them until they’ve finished their thought. You need to keep it moving in radio, so it was hard to learn to let the silences (pauses) breathe in live interviews! You’ll probably notice it in this interview from September 19, 2012, just as Ann and Nancy’s autobiography “Kicking and Dreaming” was released.

  • Bob Seger talks to Kaedy Kiely about his greatest hits, touring, family and more (1994)
    May 7 2024
I LOVED having Bob Seger visit me at 96 Rock on October 13, 1994 to promote his new Greatest Hits album – he has an amazing energy in person – he’s truly a warm, generous person. My favorite line of his comes when I ask what he thinks of Kenny Rogers/Sheena Easton’s version of one of my favorite songs of Bob’s , “We’ve Got Tonight” – unexpected and classic!! Listen for special appearances from former Atlanta Falcon Mike Kenn and dear friend and beloved Atlanta sportscaster/newscaster/TV and Radio personality/writer/”Renaissance Man” Jeff Hullinger, who did an afternoon sportscast with me daily on 96 Rock!
