  • In 1984, a 22 year old woman named Kari Swenson went out on a training run into the wilderness of Montana. Kari happened to be a world-class athlete in the biathlon, an olympic sport which combines long distance skiing with rifle marksmanship, so endurance training was a regular part of her routine. During her run Kari encountered two stange men along the way, one of whom managed to grab hold of her wrist and refused to let her go.
