  • Welcome to episode 8 of series 2, where the Let's Recover Together team talk to Chip. Chip starts his story by telling us about his childhood, one perhaps of privilege but where love, affection, and encouragement were notably lacking. Sent to boarding school before he was 7, Chip suffered abuse there, and left school and home as soon as he was able for the lure of life in London just before the "summer of love" started to take off. Starting with marijuana, Chip soon found himself using heroin, and quickly became addicted to it, and a life of crime followed to fund the addiction. A spell in prison made him realise his life had to change - listen now to hear how he turned his life around, and in one way or another, everything he does in life now is focused on recovery!!
