  • Cassette Beasts
    Jan 11 2024
Robert - 3/5 The gameplay and visuals were fantastic. Little attention to detail in the character's attacks and how they interact with each other is a very nice touch. I wish they leaned a little more into the 80s vibe. Tyler - 3/5 The Taylor Swift nock-off during the combat should not be a thing. Every beast interacts with every other beast. This was pretty cool and also a little much for me. The monster design is overwhelmingly good. Frank - 4/5 I really enjoyed it. I dug the 80s vibe. The music is actually really good if you turn off the vocals. I love how different abilities of the beasts can unlock abilities in the overworld. Paul - 4/5 I liked the tape functions in the game. Like swapping stickers and using a pencil to rewind the cassette to heal the beast. I really really really liked the game. There is a weird meta to the combat that is complex and interesting.
