The second episode of Lit Chicks is a special episode focusing solely on Sarah J Maas’ newest Crescent City novel “House of Flame and Shadow.” House of Flame and Shadow is the third installment of the Crescent City series that sees the heroine, Bryce Quinlan, leave the world of Midgard to uncover secrets of the past which assist in her plans for the future.

Melissa and Kristin discuss their favorite and least favorite parts of the book, characters, and world of Midgard. They discuss the Maas-verse and how this novel ties in with Maas’ other series Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses.

Sister duo Kristin and Melissa find themselves kicking off their A-Z list with Elodie Hart’s “Unfurl, part one of the Alchemy book series that introduced us to a steamy age-gap romance that was both sinful and packed with emotional baggage.

We also traverse into Kandi Steiner’s sports romance “Quarterback Sneak,” part one of the Red Zone Rivals series that sees the star quarterback crossing eyes with the one girl he is forbidden from having, the coach’s daughter. This novel kicked off a romance that was full of interesting characters and delved into loss and the portrayal of realistically flawed individuals.
