  • Alba Trio
    May 27 2024

All music used with permission by Alba Trio.

Northeast Ohio based Alba Trio was founded as a way of exploring the potential of trumpet driven chordless trios.

Anthony Taddeo is perhaps heard more often as the driving force behind Alla Boara and he serves this group from behind the drum kit. Tommy Lehman works with and leads a number of groups as one of Cleveland and Akron’s busiest trumpet players. And amidst a long career spent -among other things in revitalizing the now flourishing Cape May, New Jersey jazz scene – Tim Lekan returns to anchor this trio on bass.

This performance celebrated the release of their self-titled 2022 album with a performance in the round – reconfiguring the performance space to get a different and interesting sound for this celebration.

From May 15th – 2022 it’s Alba Trio – Live at the Bop Stop.
