Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper wants a contract extension but the analytically run Browns aren't in line with the deal Cooper would like.

The acquisition of Cooper has been one of the best moves by the Andrew Berry lead front office, and Cooper has been very successful in Cleveland. However, there's reservations about committing more years to the now 30 year old wide out. The room has been a complete overhaul and they want to see if the younger players are ready to make bigger contributions.

Looking for a breakout player on offense probably starts with the young guys at wide receiver, Jerry Jeudy seems likely to take the step he never did in Denver.

On defense the breakout would be for the three edge rushers after Myles Garrett and Z'darius Smith to step up and get more snap counts.

The Cleveland Browns defense took major strides in 2023, there are some small questions but the goal should be to be the league's best unit in 2024.

The defensive line in '23 was vastly improved from years past and with the drafting of Mike Hall Jr they should be better this fall.

Jordan Hicks is the most under talked about addition to this defense, you get a leader like Anthony Walker but a more consistent performer.

Cleveland had several players break ut on defense last year, Alex Wright looks to be the one in line for that title this season.

The Cleveland Browns are certainly contenders for the AFC's spot in the Super Bowl but it will come down to their offense which certainly has questions.

The offense has several significant players returning from season ending injuries. Deshaun Watson, Nick Chubb and all three offensive tackles need to come back and be the players they were.

Amari Cooper's wanting of a contract extension is well deserved but the Browns can't guarantee him the targets he'll want as the try and develop all the young receivers they have brought in.

If the offensive lineman return to full health will they also return to being a top five unit? they are lead by a new coach and some of the top talent isn't getting any younger.
